After arriving in Japan, I will stay in Tokyo and his surrounding areas. Tokyo has about 12 millions of inhabitants and a population density of some 5.400 inhabitants/km². Compared to Tokyo, Darmstadt has a density of population of some 1.100 inhabitants/km². Greater Tokyo, including Tokyo itself, Kawasaki and Yokohama, has more than 30 millions of inhabitants. Due to this fact, travel guides advise the rush-hour only to be a one-time event in the sightseeing tour...

Although I couldn't get the first impression of Tokyo from the air, because first of it was very cloudy and secondly Tokyo is about 60 km away from Narita airport, I had to take a look at Tokyo from high above. Therefore, I was inside one of the biggest skysrapers of Tokyo, which is placed in Shinjuku and contains the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. If the weather is nice, you have a great sight over Tokyo, which is indeed a sea of houses, like you can see afterwards.
